Beer at the Convention Center

As of Provo’s city council meeting last night, visitors at the soon-to-open convention center will be able to buy a beer. In most communities across the U.S., that announcement wouldn’t be particularly noteworthy. But in Provo, where beer sales have historically been controversial, this development is a victory for normal-ness and common sense. Even as a non-beer drinker myself, I look forward to a convention center that welcomes diversity.
