Wide Streets Kill But Narrow Streets Save Lives

Earlier today, Streetsblog Network tweeted the graph that I’ve pasted below.

That wide streets and high speed limits would increase fatalities seems intuitively true to me. But if correct, this information represents a serious challenge to Provo due to the city’s exceptionally wide streets. And that’s on top of the challenges Provo’s streets already face related to walkability and foot traffic.
