I discovered Provo’s Rooftop Concert Series a few years ago. I had just barely returned from a summer of traveling and was still sort of in shock at having come back. Then one evening I was walking around downtown and I happened upon what seemed almost like a magical music festival atop a parking garage.
The concert series has grown over the years thanks to the amazing people who put it all together. And today, the lineup was announced for 2012. From the look of it, there’s a little something for everyone, though I’m particularly excited for the Moth and the Flame and Desert Noises in June and Fictionist and The New Electric Sound in September.
Ultimately, the Rooftop Concert Series is one of the best things about Provo. It’s an economic, cultural and social boon to the community and, perhaps most importantly, helps give Provo summers their wondrous quality.
