Mural Correction, Or, Things are Sometimes Better than They Seem

Earlier today I wrote that downtown Provo has a couple of fading murals. Later this evening, however, a friend pointed out that in fact one of those murals isn’t fading at all. As you can see in the pictures below, it looks quite nice.

A mural on the corner of Center Street and Freedom Blvd.

This mural is located on the west side of Bingham Cyclery.

There’s a bit of a glare in this picture that doesn’t do the mural any favors, but in real life it looks quite nice.

This mural is a fantastic addition to downtown, and I’m glad it came up because I’ve been waiting for a chance to bring it up and use these pictures. I’ll likely write more about public art in the future, but for now suffice it to say that downtown could use a lot more investment in projects like this one.
