Original Tabernacle Ruins Buried

The ruined foundation of the original Provo Tabernacle has been buried.

The current Provo Tabernacle and future LDS temple stands in the background of this picture. Immediately in front of the building lies a dirt area, beneath which is the foundation of the original tabernacle.

The dirt was put into this area earlier this week in preparation for the temple groundbreaking on May 12.

I thought they were going to remove the foundation and donate it to Provo city to use for “pioneer” features in parks etc.? (maybe there is still hope for something to come of the foundation! Or maybe they need more time.) I love all your updates on this project- thanks!
