MOMFest: A Benefit for Mothers

This weekend isn’t just a historic moment for Provo, it’s also Mother’s Day. To celebrate, Muse Music — one of Provo’s 100 Block venues — is holding MOMFest. The event is an all-day concert to benefit the Center For Women and Children in Crisis. According to the Facebook event, the show will include at least 12 bands, free drawings and more. (Disclosure: I will be drumming in one of those bands.)

Obviously, this is a concert for a good cause. But it also happens to be on the same day as two historic downtown events. That means that many people — you, perhaps? — will already be downtown and will consequently have the perfect opportunity to stop by. Muse Music is also perhaps less known in the larger, non-music scene community, so the concert will be a great chance to check out one of the city’s cultural gems.
