London Shows that Little Gardens Matter

A month ago, I wrote about the need for intimate urban gardens. My point was that quiet little greens spaces can be valuable assets to cities.

Last week, The Atlantic Cities showed how that same idea plays out in London. The article is just a brief post with some pictures of intimate London gardens, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that gardens are one of the things that stand out in one of the most prosperous cities in the world. Indeed my own experiences in London have been extraordinarily pleasant — it’s one of my favorite cities ever — largely due to its parks and gardens.
